Shipping policy
We ship fig cuttings and trees year-round across the continental United States, on Mondays and Tuesdays. This page explains what shipping costs, when your order goes out, and the places we can't ship to.

Where we ship
We ship to the 48 contiguous United States and Washington, D.C. We do not ship to Hawaii, Alaska or Puerto Rico, or anywhere outside the United States — the transit time is too long for live plant material. The cart checks your state before you pay.
When we ship
- All year. Cuttings are cut fresh from our trees the day they ship; nothing waits in a bag for an order.
- Mondays and Tuesdays only, so a parcel never spends a weekend sitting in a depot.
- Orders paid by Sunday night (Pacific time) go out that Monday. Orders paid later in the week ship the following Monday or Tuesday.
- We email you when your order ships, with a tracking number.
What it costs
| What's in the order | Shipping |
|---|---|
| Up to 4 cuttings | $7.00 — USPS Ground Advantage |
| 5 or more cuttings | $12.00 plus $1.00 for each cutting after the first — USPS Priority flat-rate envelope |
| Trees | $25.00 per tree — each ships in its own box |
| Cuttings and trees together | Both: the cuttings rate plus the per-tree rate |
The exact shipping charge is shown in your cart before you check out. It is the same to every state we ship to.
Carrier and delivery time
Orders ship with tracking, normally by USPS. Most parcels arrive within two to five days of shipping. Delivery times are the carrier's estimates, not a guarantee from us.
Weather and delays
Live plants don't like extremes. If the forecast along the route is dangerous for the plants — a hard freeze or severe heat — we may hold your order until the next shipping day and will email you if we do. You can ask for a refund instead of waiting.
When it arrives
Open the parcel the day it arrives. Keep cuttings cool and wrapped until you're ready to root them, and water a tree that arrives dry. How to root your cuttings walks through the rest.
