About this variety
Cosme Manyo is a rare heirloom fig from Mallorca, Spain, preserved by renowned fig collector Montserrat Pons from a single forgotten tree. It is prized for its rich flavor, attractive fruit, and high productivity.
Inside, the fruit features thick, sticky, deep-red flesh with rich berry notes and excellent sweetness, making it an outstanding fresh-eating variety.
Cosme Manyo is productive, self-pollinating, and does not require fig wasp pollination. It also shows good rain resistance making it a standout among Mallorca’s prized fig varieties.
